CADtsy Licensing Agreement: Terms for Plasma DXF Files & CNC Cut Files

Last updated: July 2026

Thank you for choosing CADtsy. This Licensing Agreement explains how our digital designs, including our plasma dxf files, may be used for production. Please read it carefully before purchasing or using any files from CADtsy.com.

1. Personal Use License (Included with Every Standard Purchase)

Every standard purchase from CADtsy.com automatically includes a Personal Use License.

✔️ Under this license, you may:

• Manufacture finished physical products for your own personal use, hobbies, DIY projects, or home use. • Produce an unlimited number of physical items for personal, non-commercial purposes. • Give finished physical products as personal gifts to friends or family.

❌ Under this license, you may not:

• Manufacture or sell physical products for commercial gain or business revenue. • Use our dxf files for plasma cutting as part of any commercial production run without purchasing a separate Commercial Production License. • Sell, share, rent, sublicense, redistribute, upload, or otherwise distribute the digital files (DXF, SVG, PDF, STEP, STL, or any other included formats). • Publish, resell, or distribute modified versions of the digital files. • Claim ownership or authorship of the original CADtsy designs.

2. Commercial Production License (Business Upgrades)

If you wish to manufacture and sell finished physical products as part of a business, you must purchase a separate Commercial Production License for each specific design. This includes all commercial fabrication shops, independent welders, manufacturers, online sellers, retailers, and dealerships.

✔️ Commercial Rights Included

A Commercial Production License authorizes you to: • Manufacture finished physical products using the licensed CADtsy design. • Sell those finished physical items through your own website, Shopify store, Etsy shop, online marketplaces, social media, physical retail stores, trade shows, distributors, or direct customer sales. • Sell products entirely under your own brand name (White-Label freedom). • Add your own logo, branding, packaging, instruction manuals, and marketing materials to the physical product. • Make production-related adjustments necessary for manufacturing, including kerf compensation, fit tolerances, slot sizing, bend allowances, and weld placement required by your CNC cutting equipment.

Note: No attribution, credit, or mention of CADtsy.com is required when selling licensed physical products under a commercial upgrade.

3. Restrictions on DXF Plans and Digital Assets

A Commercial Production License grants manufacturing rights for physical items only. It does not permit: • Selling, sharing, or redistributing the digital files or any modified versions of them. • Uploading the files to file-sharing websites, forums, marketplaces, or cloud libraries for public access. • Selling the CAD files, drawings, templates, or 3D models in any digital format. • Including our dxf files for plasma cutting within another commercial digital product or bundle. • Claiming authorship or ownership of the original underlying design.

4. Copyright & Intellectual Property Protection

All content hosted on CADtsy.com is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. This includes, but is not limited to: • DXF and SVG cutting files • PDF drawings and instructional documents • STEP and STL 3D models • Product photographs, renderings, videos, and descriptions

Purchasing a license grants only the specific physical manufacturing rights described in this agreement. It never transfers ownership, copyright, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights of the design to the buyer. Unauthorized digital replication, redistribution, or resale constitutes copyright infringement and will result in immediate termination of license rights and legal action.
