Collapsible Grill & Fire Pit — DXF, SVG and PDF Plans

Build a collapsible steel grill that packs flat for storage. This digital plan set includes six thickness-specific versions, with DXF, SVG and PDF cut files in millimeters and inches.

The design uses five interlocking steel pieces, including a removable grill. Use the annotated layouts to identify parts, or choose the plain layouts and individual profiles for CAM preparation.

• Material: sheet steel, with separate files for 2, 2.5, 3, 3.2, 4 and 5 mm stock.
• Required operations: CNC cutting, deburring and tab-and-slot assembly. No bending is required.

Material Thickness References

• 2 mm: approximately 5/64 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 14 gauge.
• 2.5 mm: approximately 3/32 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 12 gauge.
• 3 mm: approximately 1/8 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 11 gauge.
• 3.2 mm: approximately 1/8 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 11 gauge.
• 4 mm: approximately 5/32 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 8 gauge.
• 5 mm: approximately 3/16 in; nearest listed mild-steel reference 6 gauge.

These fractions and gauges are approximate references, not interchangeable stock specifications. Measure your steel and check joint fit. Inch-unit files contain the same metric-designed geometry converted to inches.

Build Notes

• Import cut files at 1:1 scale and verify a known dimension before cutting.
• Set kerf compensation in your CAM software. Exclude information layers from cutting.
• The panels disassemble into a flat stack for storage. Packing hardware shown in the images is not supplied.
